Destination: U T A H

In the seven years we have been married, Jared and I had never been to Utah together.  We decided it was time to take the trek and visit family and some church history spots.

We car-pooled with Nana & Papa and it was a blast.  Thankfully, the kids did AMAZING both there and back home.

We were privelaged to get a tour of the Church History Center with Jared's brother, Brandon who works there.  He pulled some archives and showed us some pretty neat stuff.  Being in that building, I felt the spirit of the Saints and the history of our church.  It reaffirmed by testimony, THE CHURCH IS TRUE.

After our tour we headed across the street to Temple Square and was blown away by the beauty found there.

After walking the grounds, going in both visitor's centers and the museum, we headed to check out the new Gateway Mall.  It was very nice.  I couldn't get over the views of the Salt Lake Temple from the mall..

The rest of the weekend, the weather was pretty bad.  But we made the most of it.  The kids had a blast playing together and we all had some good laughs.

We also spent a few hours with my brother, Landon.  He lives in Salt Lake and it was fun to catch up with him and meet his girlfriend.

Sunday Afternoon we did a little temple tour with Brandon and Papa.  We took a scenic drive around and saw some beautiful temples.  It's incredible that there are 4 LDS temples within one hour's time.  We saw (from top left to right) the Oquirrh Mountain, Draper, Salt Lake City and South Jordan temples.

We had a blast, and look forward to our next trip...it wont take us another seven years, that's for sure!
